Difference between Flocked Swab & Dust-free Cotton Swab
Medical nylon flocked swabs and dust-free swabs both have sample collection functions, but they have different collection effects and application scenarios.
Nylon Flocked Swab
Use: Flocked swabs are mainly used in the medical industry, such as collecting liquid microorganisms, DNA, viruses and bacteria from the human mouth, nose, throat and cervix.
The nylon sampling swab consists of three parts: handle, connecting rod and sampling head. The soft and slender connecting rod can effectively protect the sampling site from harm, and the sampling head consists of two parts: nylon flock and adhesive, which is harmless to human body and microorganisms. The nylon flocked swab maximizes sample collection and release, and it can be used in conjunction with virus transport media to form a complete sample collection system.
Dust-free swabs (decontamination swabs)
Use: Dust-free swabs are mainly used for industrial cleaning, such as wiping small crevices, camera lenses, hard drives, microscopes, instruments and precision instruments such as optical optoelectronic products.
Dust-free swabs, also called purification swabs and dust-free wiping sticks, are a kind of clean swabs produced in clean rooms (clean rooms) and belong to clean room cleaning consumables. Clean swabs must be produced by professional clean swab manufacturers in strict accordance with the clean room production requirements, but there are grades of clean swabs due to the different materials and production processes. The grade of swabs is compatible with the clean room grade, which is divided into 1,000,000, 100,000, 10,000, 1,000 and 100 (grade from low to high).
