This kit detects parvovirus antibodies by detecting canine whole blood, serum, or plasma.
Application
Canine parvovirus belongs to the parvoviridae family, Parvovirus genus. Canine parvovirus is highly resistant to commonly used disinfectants and can survive in feces for months to years. Canine parvovirus is highly infectious. Dogs of different ages, genders and breeds can be infected, especially juvenile puppies. Canine parvovirus infection is urgent, high mortality. The clinical manifestations were vomiting and diarrhea. This kit detect canine parvovirus antigen in dogs’ feces, rectum and vomit.
Detection Principle
Rapid immunochromatography for detection of canine parvovirus antigen. Rectal or fecal samples were added to the well and moved along the chromatographic membrane with a colloidal gold-labeled anti-CPV monoclonal antibody. If the CPV antigen is present in the sample, it binds to the antibody on the detection line and shows a Burgundy color. If the CPV antigen is not present in the sample, no color reaction is produced.

Sample Requirements
- This kit is only suitable for detecting dog feces, rectum and vomit samples.
- Test samples Fresh samples should be collected and immediately placed in diluent. Diluted samples should be tested as soon as possible within 1 hour.
- If not detected in time, diluted samples can be stored at 2-8 ° C for 24 hours and -20 ° C for 1 month.
Detection Method
- Samples of feces, rectum and vomit of dogs were collected by disposable cotton swabs. After collection, the samples were put into dilution and stirred, and the samples were stationary for 1min. The cotton swabs were removed, and the lid was tightened and mixed upside down.
- Tear the aluminum foil bag of the test card, take out the test card, and put it on a smooth and clean table.
- Aspirate 3 drops (about 80 μL) with a pipette and dilute the sample into the test card adding sample well, waiting for the test result.
- Wait for 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature to interpret the test results. The test results after 20 minutes are invalid.
Note: The above interpretation time is carried out at room temperature 15-30℃. If the temperature is lower than 15℃, the interpretation time should be extended appropriately. If the temperature is higher than 30℃, the interpretation time should be shortened appropriately.
Results
Negative: A purplish red band appears on control line (C).
Positive: Both the test line (T) and the control line (C) show a purplish red band.
Invalid: Control line (C) does not show purple band.
