The culture swab consists of a swab and a tube containing preservation fluid and is non-sterile.
Principle
Potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride provide the necessary ions, and suitable buffers maximize the morphological integrity of the sample for adequate suspension and dispersion. The use of different reagent formulations and compatible swabs with specificity allows for greater sample collection and better transport and preservation.
Sample requirements
The collected samples must be fresh and sent to the laboratory in time. The collected pathogenic bacteria should be sent to the laboratory within 48 hours at 2~8℃, if not sent to the laboratory within 48 hours, they should be stored at -70℃ or below. If the isolation is not inoculated in time should be stored at -70℃ or below.
Precautions for use
After specimen collection, the disposable sampling swab should be fully inserted into the preservation solution to maximize the retention of the specimen
Specimens must be collected fresh and sent for testing in time to avoid death of pathogenic bacteria.
Prohibit the use of damaged packaging and products past the expiration date to prevent contamination.
Note: This single-use sampler is intended for in vitro diagnostic use and should not be used for internal or external use in humans or animals. If swallowed, it can lead to serious incidents; it is irritating to eyes and skin, if accidentally splashed into eyes, rinse with water.
