Saliva Collection Kit

The Saliva Collection Kit is suitable for the collection, storage and transport of DNA samples for genetic disease screening, genomic testing and disease detection. Product Advantages

• Saliva collection is the easiest way to collect genes, with the advantage of being painless and non-invasive. Compared to blood collection, saliva collection is more convenient and free, and has a higher acceptance by users.

Guidelines for Use

• Relaxing the cheeks and gently rubbing them for thirty seconds to produce saliva.
• Gently spit about 2 ml of saliva into the saliva collection funnel.
• Care should be taken to avoid excessive foam when collecting saliva (the upper layer of foam is not counted).
• Opening the DNA preserving solution tube and unscrewing the cap.
• Pouring the DNA preserving solution into the saliva collector, confirming that the stratified interface between the liquid and the upper foam layer in the sample collection reaches the scale line shown in 4 ml.
• Unscrew the collection funnel from the spiral opening of the saliva collector and remove the funnel (remember to dispose of the waste after use to avoid contact, and contamination).
• Take the cap and tighten it on the sample collection tube, mix the liquid in the tube upside down and upside down to mix the DNA preservation solution with the saliva sample thoroughly and complete the sample collection.

Cautions

• Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum for 30 minutes prior to collecting saliva samples.
• It usually takes only 2-5 minutes to collect saliva samples following the above steps.
• Before starting saliva collection, relax your cheeks and gently massage your cheeks with your fingers for 15 to 30 seconds to produce saliva.
• Confirm that the outer packaging of the saliva sample collection tube is intact and check the saliva preservation fluid tube to confirm that there are no leaks. IMPORTANT: Saliva collection solution that leaks or produces cloudy preserved solution should not be used!
• Under room temperature storage conditions, saliva samples collected by this product can be stored stably for 12 months, and high quality high molecular weight DNA fragments can be isolated during the storage period. Given the individual differences in samples, the exact shelf life fluctuates from sample to sample.
